To get a Maximum Scroll in Jujutsu Infinite, the developer's item card lists chest drops, possible world spawns, and occasional Curse Market exchanges. One scroll unlocks one Maximum Technique; further maximums need further scrolls. There is also a separate, nontradable Dimensional Maximum Scroll from the story's second Volcano Curse defeat in a level-360-plus quest. If that story reward is missing, visit the Retry NPC. Before spending either item, check that your chosen innate has an applicable maximum.

01

Where to get a Maximum Scroll

The Maximum Scroll card documents three acquisition routes. Chests can drop it, it can appear as a world spawn detectable by Item Notifier, and the Curse Market sometimes offers an exchange. These are possible sources, so finding a chest or opening the market does not guarantee a scroll.

RouteWhat the developer card supportsWhat to check yourself
ChestsMaximum Scroll is a possible dropWhether the current reward pool includes it
World explorationPossible world spawns; Item Notifier can detect themWhether an item has actually spawned
Curse MarketOccasional exchangesCurrent stock and the displayed exchange cost

No freshly tested chest probability, spawn timer, or current market price is established by this guide's evidence. The item card contains an older probability figure, but its presence does not establish today's measured odds. Plan around the available routes without budgeting a fixed number of chests or expecting a guaranteed spawn.

My practical recommendation is to check market stock when convenient while progressing through activities you already need. Treat a world find as an opportunity rather than a timed appointment. This is a planning suggestion, not a verified fastest farming method.

02

The story reward is a different scroll

The Dimensional Maximum Scroll card describes a story reward after the second Volcano Curse defeat in a level-360-plus quest. It unlocks one applicable Maximum Technique and cannot be traded. The name matters: a Dimensional Maximum Scroll is a distinct item from the regular Maximum Scroll described above.

ItemDocumented sourceDocumented purpose
Maximum ScrollChests, possible world spawns, occasional Curse Market exchangesUnlock one Maximum Technique
Dimensional Maximum ScrollSpecified story encounterUnlock one applicable Maximum Technique; cannot be traded

Keep that distinction when checking your inventory or discussing an exchange. The story reward's nontradable status means it cannot supply another player's unlock through a trade. Its story availability also does not turn the regular scroll's random acquisition routes into guaranteed rewards.

If you are still progressing through the story, the beginner progression guide helps you keep character progression separate from item collection. The level attached to this story quest describes that route, not a universal requirement for every maximum.

03

Find the Retry NPC for a missing reward

The Retry Max/Domain card places the Retry NPC beside a tree at the back right of the crafting area. This NPC lets players retry the story reward quests for the Dimensional Maximum Scroll or incomplete domain. For the maximum-scroll retry quest, the documented requirement is level 360 or higher.

Use this route when you completed the relevant story progression but did not receive its scroll. The Dimensional Maximum Scroll card itself directs players with a missing reward to this NPC. That makes the NPC a specific recovery step for the story reward, rather than another chest-farming location.

  1. Check your inventory for the full item name, including “Dimensional.”
  2. Go to the crafting area and locate the tree at its back right.
  3. Speak to the Retry NPC and select the relevant story reward quest.
  4. If the attempt fails, the card allows another try after five minutes.

The evidence does not establish a repeatable supply of extra scrolls from this NPC after receiving the reward. Do not plan multiple maximum unlocks around that assumption. Read the offered quest and reward before accepting it, especially because the same NPC also handles an incomplete-domain retry.

04

Check which innate has a maximum

Owning a scroll does not establish that every innate technique has an eligible Maximum Technique. Check the specific innate's skill tree and its developer card before committing to an unlock. The documented examples below illustrate different maximums; they are not a complete compatibility roster or a power ranking.

InnateDocumented Maximum TechniqueRelevant detail
InfinitySix EyesRequires three Black Flash tokens to activate
VolcanoMaximum MeteorRequires three Black Flash tokens
Soul KingBlack Flash Beatdown and End the CycleListed among this innate's maximum options

Infinity's card describes Six Eyes changing Lapse Blue and Reversal Red and enabling their Hollow Nuke combination. Volcano's card names Maximum Meteor. Soul King's card documents a Soul Style meter with C, B, A, and S ranks alongside its maximum options.

Those mechanics are technique-specific. The shared three-token requirement in the Infinity and Volcano examples does not prove that every maximum uses that condition. Likewise, Soul King's multiple listed maximums should not be read as a promise that one scroll unlocks every option.

05

Separate unlocking from using the move

A scroll unlock and a combat activation are separate questions. The item card establishes one Maximum Technique per scroll, while an innate's card explains relevant behavior and activation conditions. For example, obtaining the unlock does not remove the three-token condition documented for Six Eyes or Maximum Meteor.

Before spending a scroll, use this preparation checklist:

  • Identify the exact innate and Maximum Technique you want.
  • Read that move's displayed requirements in the skill tree.
  • Check technique mastery separately from your character level.
  • Confirm the item name and the unlock presented by the game.
  • After unlocking, read the move's activation requirements before entering combat.

This is an editorial checking sequence rather than a tested click-by-click interface walkthrough. Exact menu prompts were not replayed for this guide. There is also no verified universal character level or mastery number that replaces checking the selected move.

For the token mechanic behind the documented examples, continue to the Black Flash guide. Use the conditions attached to your maximum rather than assuming every technique follows the same combat sequence.

06

Solve the right problem before farming more

If you have no scroll, distinguish a missing story reward from an item you have never obtained. The first points toward the Retry NPC; the second points toward the regular acquisition routes or further story progression. Another chest is not the documented recovery instruction for a missing Dimensional Maximum Scroll.

If you own a scroll but cannot unlock the intended move, check compatibility and the requirements shown for that move. If the maximum is unlocked but cannot activate, inspect its combat conditions instead. More scroll farming does not resolve a technique-specific activation condition already described by its card.

A Domain Shard serves a different progression question, so consult the Domain Shard guide if your goal is Domain Expansion. The Retry NPC's involvement with both reward quests does not make the items interchangeable. Keeping the desired ability, item, and quest separate gives you a concrete next action.

Evidence and current limits

This guide uses developer Trello cards retrieved on October 26, 2026. Their supported mechanics include the acquisition routes, one-maximum-per-scroll rule, separate story reward, Retry NPC location, retry threshold and cooldown, and named innate examples. The research did not include an in-game unlock or reward replay.

Trello activity dates are not necessarily publication dates or patch dates. Current drop odds, market stock, exchange prices, and a complete maximum-compatibility roster remain unverified here. Check the game's displayed requirement for your chosen move before spending a scroll, especially when a general tip gives one level or mastery target for every innate.
