Jujutsu Infinite awakenings give your character statistical effects and appearance changes. Use a Purified Curse Hand to obtain an Awakening, or use Awakening Storage to re-equip one you previously obtained for in-game currency. The six documented bases below also have an Awakening V2 quest entry: equip the matching base, then open Exchange Event → Quests → Awakening V2.

01

How to get an Awakening

The developer's Purified Curse Hand card lists Special Grade chest drops and occasional Curse Market exchanges as acquisition routes. An exchange being documented does not mean the item is available whenever you visit. Check the offer shown in your current session before treating the market as your next step.

The item name on the developer card is Purified Curse Hand, although searches often use “purified cursed hand.” Both phrases commonly lead to the same question: how to obtain or change an Awakening. Use the card's item name when checking your inventory and the market so the wording does not create unnecessary confusion.

The verified documentation does not establish a universal minimum level for using the hand, an exact current chest drop rate, or a fixed exchange price. Plan around the acquisition routes you can actually access. A guide cannot turn the absence of those values into a guaranteed farming schedule.

02

Compare the six documented bases

These are the base effects recorded in the developer cards, not a ranking of every V2 ability. “M1” refers to the basic attacks named by those cards. Keep each effect's attack and target conditions attached to its percentage when comparing options.

AwakeningDocumented base effectWhat to check in your build
Black Flash ArmsBlack Flash damage increases by 8%; its appearance changesWhether Black Flash is a regular part of your combat
Burn ScarsGrants Curse Vision and Ninja; Ninja improves jump height and dash distanceWhether the documented utility matters more to you than an attack-specific bonus
Energy HaloDivergent Fist M1 damage increases by 10%, with added hit effectsWhether you use the specific M1 interaction it supports
Steel ArmsCursed-tool M1 damage increases by 5%Whether your routine relies on cursed-tool basic attacks
Flesh ArmsM1 and heavy-attack damage against PvE mobs increases by 20%Whether you want direct damage for those PvE attacks
Energy HornsFocus gained from M1 and heavy attacks against PvE mobs increases by 20%Whether additional focus is your intended benefit

Burn Scars also documents cosmetic changes with Heavenly Restriction. That interaction is an appearance detail; it should not be converted into an unstated damage bonus. See the Heavenly Restriction guide when that is the build you are planning.

03

Choose by the attacks you actually use

Our editorial recommendation is to match the documented condition before chasing a larger number. Flesh Arms' 20% PvE damage effect and Energy Horns' 20% PvE focus effect change different things. Neither number means that every attack, resource, or opponent receives the same improvement.

For a cursed-tool M1 routine, Steel Arms has a directly relevant base effect; the weapons guide can help you compare documented acquisition routes for tools. Energy Halo instead names Divergent Fist M1 damage, so do not treat it as a universal cursed-tool bonus. Black Flash Arms names Black Flash, making your use of that mechanic central to the decision.

Burn Scars offers a different comparison because its recorded base benefits include movement utility. A player choosing it for jump height and dash distance is making a different tradeoff from someone pursuing a specific damage increase. No verified combat benchmark here establishes one overall best Awakening across every build or mode.

04

Rerolling versus using Awakening Storage

Before using another hand, decide whether you want a new effect, a new appearance, or access to something you already obtained. The Purified Curse Hand menu includes a cosmetic reroll that preserves the previous statistical effects. That is the documented route for changing appearance while keeping the effect you currently want.

Awakening Storage serves a separate purpose: previously obtained Awakenings appear there and can be re-equipped with in-game currency. Its documented choices let you change the full package or separate the appearance from abilities and passives. Check the selected mode before confirming, because those choices have different results.

Your goalDocumented option to inspect
Change the current look while preserving its statistical effectsPurified Curse Hand cosmetic reroll
Return to a previously obtained Awakening with its appearanceStorage option for abilities, passives, and cosmetic together
Use stored abilities and passives while keeping another appearanceStorage option for abilities and passives
Apply only a stored appearanceStorage cosmetic-only option

Our practical recommendation is to inspect storage first when you already owned the desired result. This recommendation follows the distinction between recovering an obtained Awakening and rolling for a change. It is not a claim about a cheapest currency strategy, because current costs were not verified.

05

Start the matching Awakening V2 quest

All six base cards document V2 progression. They state that V2 retains the V1 buffs and adds its own moves and passives, so the base comparison alone does not describe the whole progression system. Start with the correct equipped base, then follow the named menu route.

  1. Identify the Awakening whose V2 quest you want to begin.
  2. Equip that matching base Awakening.
  3. Enter Exchange Event.
  4. Open Quests, then Awakening V2.
  5. Read the matching quest's displayed objectives before committing to the work.

For example, the Black Flash Arms card tells you to equip Black Flash Arms before starting its V2 quest. The same matching-base requirement is documented for Burn Scars, Energy Halo, Steel Arms, Flesh Arms, and Energy Horns. An unrelated equipped base should not be assumed to satisfy another Awakening's entry condition.

The source set supports that entry route and the retained-buffs statement. It does not establish a complete current checklist of every V2 objective, move, or passive. Use the quest displayed in your session for its actual completion requirements rather than attaching invented tasks to this route.

06

Understand percentages before spending items

The effect percentages in the comparison table describe combat benefits. They are different from roll probabilities. In particular, a larger listed damage or focus bonus says nothing about how frequently the corresponding Awakening appears.

The individual Awakening cards repeat percentages also used in their rarity-pool headers. Those repeated figures are not verified independent odds for each named Awakening. Without a current roll interface or another explicit probability source, this guide cannot calculate expected hands, guaranteed outcomes, or individual roll chances.

07

A final check before changing your setup

Check the effect condition, your current appearance, and your stored options before making the change. If your next goal is V2, confirm the matching base is equipped before following the quest route. If Black Flash Arms is your target, the Black Flash guide explains the separate combat mechanic behind its named bonus.

The developer cards were retrieved on October 26, 2026. Their mechanics are documentation-backed rather than tested in a game session; card activity dates do not prove a particular patch date. The useful decisions supported here are which base fits your actions, whether rerolling or storage serves your goal, and how to enter the matching V2 quest.
